They are terrifying monsters. My village was terrorized by one but recently.

It was, thanks to the work of some travelers who evacuated the residents. And our God, which aided me in slaying the human.

It's good to hear they were able to stay safe.

May I ask, what is your God like?

I serve the Dragon God Eht. It is a mighty god of conflict, and the protector of our village.

Eht... I see. I haven't heard of them before, but it'd be impossible to know every culture's god.

Do you have a bond with them?

[trifocal]

I do. As priestess of the island, I have a connection to our god that no other has.

[fightolive]

Can you still feel that connection here?

[ Or does death sever those ties too? ]

It is hard to perceive it, as some of my senses seem to be dulled here... but...

My god is still with me here. Of that, I can be certain.

Then that means our ties aren't completely severed. That's reassuring.

Are there ties that you hoped to preserve here, too?

There are people I'm worried about, but... the person we work with has a good grasp on the future.

He's surprisingly good at finding people who will work with him, and... difficult to get to know.
