They are mysterious. Especially the Old Gods that are older than time. They can bless people with their boons or domain but anyone who claims they've spoken directly to them is probably talking hot air. It is like saying you have spoken to Death or Love itself.

Not so well-known. But yes, one of the Old ones. Rher, the trickster god.

He can.

[ Since you can in fact get ranks in Rher. ]

He is just not as popular, I think. Gro-goroth is the god of death and destruction, but many people believe in that. Sylvian is the goddess of love, and that goes for people, even if it is in the strange way old gods do. Rher is not known to much like mankind though.

...Not any more than your average penitent church-goer. Nothing ambitious, I go to the biggest church in Vatican City. But yeah.

[ He frowns a little, unsure how to describe it. ]

They say he was born from a union between man and god. He gathered followers and believers, and the kings and sultans of the old ages did not like that a common man would gain more support than them. So they had him executed on a cross, but he Ascended instead, and returned to slaughter them in turn for their vanity.

[ Help!!! ]

You could think of it that way. The two Ascended ones are thought to be kinder to man than any other god. Still gods though, so...

[ Kind of comes with the weirdness and distance that divinity tends to have. ]
