[ what's up, eupha is here on the beach fully-clothed like a person who has not heard of beachwear. ]

What a beautiful beach! God must have heard my prayers after all.

Oh, but I don't believe we've met, have we?

[waner is still pretty clothed, but slightly less clothed than eupha. they're both doing great.]

It is a lovely area, but ah... no, I do not believe we have introduced ourselves just yet. My name is Su Waner.

It's good to meet you. My name is Euphausia, but you may call me Eupha, if it pleases you.

I felt rather uneasy when we first arrived here, but it seems this place is quickly becoming quite welcoming, isn't it?

[jiaohua]

A pleasure to meet you, Miss Eupha.

[she looks out at the water.]

Yes... I felt the same. But I suppose, this is "heaven," so it is meant to be ... welcoming.

[trifocal]

Have you been adjusting to all of this all right? It's quite a lot to take in, with all of this, and the talk of redemption...

[jiaohua]

I'm managing well enough. Even if this all feels very strange, there is no denying that it is the reality we're facing. And what of you? How are you adjusting?

[trifocal]

I'm quite well. This is not quite the afterlife I was expecting, but if there is hope of returning to life, then I must be grateful for that.

[jiaohua]

What sort of afterlife did you expect...?

[trifocal]

If the correct rites were performed, I would have been reborn as a guardian deity, so that I could watch over my brother.

week 1, monday

[jiaohua]

[they don't have valentine's day in daxing, and chocolate isn't very common there either - cacao a delicacy, one she hadn't experienced much of before dying. so she doesn't know what all of the decorations around whoville in the afternoon mean, but she does know the stand where there are ingredients and flavors and recipes to make your own chocolate is intriguing.

she looks up from one of the cookbooks and waves.]

Hello there! Want to give this a try?

[ oh!! she will come closer. ]

A recipe? Yes, I'd love to try! What should we make?

[jiaohua]

I was looking at this... it seems to be a simple recipe for chocolate?

[simple enough, anyway!]

There are a lot of heart-shaped molds around here, so I suppose we will use that to shape them.

[trifocal]

Oh, how cute! Maybe I should give some to Ellie, if it turns out well enough. She picked out heart-shaped pillows for our room.

[jiaohua]

Oh! If she picked out pillows like that, then she would probably really like this.

[trifocal]

I'm glad you think so!

Let's see, the first step is...

[ she'll try to follow the instructions we have very precisely! but once they've started... ]

Whenever I cook something, I like to offer a prayer to put my hopes and feelings into the food. You don't mind, do you?

I don't mind at all. Please do whatever you would like.

[ a nod... and she focuses her feelings towards the chocolate. ]

Week 7, Tuesday

[ spotting waner and coming over to greet her!! ]

Have you had a chance to get used to things on this side again? ... Er, though I suppose it is not quite as you remember...

[jiaohua]

It is ... A bit different, yes.

[her chao is standing nearby, a stick in hand, acting like the world's tiniest and most ineffectual bodyguard.]

[trifocal]

[ eupha gives the chao a little smile. ]

You haven't encountered any danger, have you?

[jiaohua]

Not really, but admittedly I have not been venturing out very far.

[the chao nods once to eupha and slashes at nothing. look at how good ("good") it is at bodyguarding.]

[trifocal]

Oh... Are you avoiding the unstable areas?

[jiaohua]

[she nods]

I feel as though I should get familiar with them in case anything happens, but at the same time... if something does happen I am not exactly well-equipped to do anything about it.

[imagine if i had her trip at the finish line and get re-murdered by the jabberwocky.]

[ i now have a very real fear of you doing that. ]

Would you like me to go with you? I know I do not look very strong, but I do have some power at my disposal now.
