Because! To properly mourn a mustari is to bring their remains to the Orbwise Path, to make as an offering to the serpents that dwell there. And we have neither serpents nor offerings on hand.
The bodies of the deceased. The legends say that those whose remains are consumed by the holy beasts of the Path may be reborn as guardian deities, to watch over their loved ones!
