[ Actually Euphausia gets a second memory follow-up. Marcoh stills and stiffens like a board as this one plays, going a bit pale at seeing this from a third point of view.

As an aside for later I do want a Eupha one also!!! ]

[ oh. this is visceral.

eupha is not especially squeamish, despite her delicate appearance, but her face grows a little pale as well, and she tries to avert her gaze. of course, it doesn't really help. hearing it is almost worse than watching it.

but then she remembers the present, and looks up to marcoh, to watch his reaction with concern. ]

I've seen how kind you are. To me, that is what defines you, more than those moments of anger.

[ He still looks extremely apprehensive -- he's glad to hear Eupha say this rather than not, but it feels too uneasy to just accept her words and relax. It doesn't change what he'd done and the state he'd gotten into when doing it. ]

[ Well Eupha seems. Quite proud of all of this, but Marcoh is glancing down at her with a little worry to debate how he should react since she did the same for him.

After all, they said sacrifice and that's rarely ever not scary when talking about a living person. ]

[ there's a lingering gaze at the image of her brother as it fades from view. she lifts up a hand as if to reach to him, but then he's gone.

The Dragon God Eht is the protector deity of our island. As its priestess, I have a unique spiritual connection to it.

That isn't so dissimilar to the gods worshipped in the Church of Darkness, I think. Most of them anyway.

Truly? What are they like?

They are mysterious. Especially the Old Gods that are older than time. They can bless people with their boons or domain but anyone who claims they've spoken directly to them is probably talking hot air. It is like saying you have spoken to Death or Love itself.
