Yes... It was as if viewing the individual threads that make up the very fabric of reality. And, with this keyboard, I could change those numbers... altering reality itself in the process. A method known as "hacking."
Truthfully, Hell was not so terrible. It was the place before it that was truly frightening... A dimension we had not intended to enter, but were propelled into by error while trying to reach Hell.
A strange and sad town, where the people were twisted and mad. I unwittingly tried to approach a stranger, and was struck with a knife with little warning.
[ she touches her freshly bandaged, slightly infected, big-ass knife wound that runs down her arm. ]
[ pulls a luke and just dies at curfew from this infection ]
Most of them, yes. Although it was difficult to tell at times... Their faces were distorted.
I know little of what happened to Saber or Wis'adel, as they were transported to a different dimension entirely... but I was fortunate to have a reliable companion with me through that time. It is thanks to him that I was not more seriously injured.
There were a few others, too. Kind people who were trapped in the village with us. I think that most of them were mere apparitions, but it was still heartening to meet such people in such a terrible place. We were able to work together to find a way out of that dimension.

It is... quite difficult to explain. In part, because we crossed dimensions on a few occasions.
Oddly, it seemed my third eye was functional there, but it saw not magla, but numbers and codes in every place I looked.

[ walking into a cyoa and getting told "ok so your power is to do literally whatever you want" ]
But the city was under an even greater threat... by a flood of demons, sent by Satan, who dwelled in Hell. We needed to go there to confront him.

That's sort of how it was for us, too. Anders and Shadowheart, I mean — didn't see them through that whole second part until the very end.
[ even though they were in the same building almost the whole time. ]
Good that you weren't alone, though.

That's... an unconventional way of doin' it.

But we accepted the challenge, and were victorious on that front as well.

And he kept his word, just let it go at that?

Well.
We were winning, but Wis'adel became impatient and hit him with a train... I think he died.
